Summer 2008 in LA is finally over...and now I'm in PA! at Bryn Mawr to be exact. I've just finished training for Summer Tri-co and all of us are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our freshmen and women! It's been surprisingly cool here and bug-free outdoors (thank goodness!). I'm really happy to be back even though I feel like summer was way too short. And anyway, is summer ever long enough? Probably not...I miss LA, my family (yes, even sharing a room with my sister), the food (red velvet cupcakes, frozen yogurt, etc etc), my internship, and a bunch of other stuff. I do miss my friends but most weren't even in LA or in the country for much of the summer so that was a bit sad. We always say that we'll keep in touch throughout the years after high school but it's way harder than it sounds. As much as I miss LA, I'm excited to see what this year will bring. During the 2nd day of tri-co training, as we were having an intense discussion, I just got that comfortable feeling of being back "home." :)
Sophomore year....
I've resolved to embrace caffeine! That sounds strange since caffeine seems to be the norm but I didn't drink too much during high school and freshman year with a few exceptions.
I've also decided to be better with time management (ha ha)....isn't that everyone's resolution, every year?
This is also the year I get to pick my major/minor and decide whether or not I want to study abroad. I am open to suggestions about where to go :) My top choices as of this second (it changes that often) are Northern Ireland (Swat's new program), Grenoble in France, Siena in Italy, Morocco, and Dakar in Senegal.
I've really enjoyed receiving emails from incoming freshmen and women and prospective students and I look forward to meeting you all! Until after tri-co...
